Empowering Women
Empowering Women: Breaking the Chains of Discrimination
Discrimination against women—from womb to tomb—is a harsh reality. Women continue to face inequality, oppression, and various forms of harassment: emotional, physical, mental, and sexual. Many endure abuse, rape, and violence, often in societies steeped in outdated, feudal mindsets that deny women equal rights in education, marriage, work, and social life—especially in rural areas.
The Road to Empowerment
Fighting these deeply rooted biases demands strength—strength that comes from empowerment. Among all tools, education is the most powerful weapon for empowering women. True empowerment will be realized only when society changes its attitude to treat women with respect, dignity, fairness, and equality.

Shirdi Sai Baba School’s Commitment to Girls’ Education
Today, more than 50% of students at Shirdi Sai Baba Schools are girls. Even in the rural heartland of Bundelkhand, we tirelessly encourage families to send their daughters to school.
- Our volunteers conduct door-to-door campaigns, urging families to prioritize education over child labor or household chores.
- Vocational training programs in Beauty & Wellness, Computers, Tailoring, and Dress Designing equip underprivileged women with skills to achieve financial independence.
Through Mass Marriages, we alleviate the financial burden of wedding costs, which often discourages families from investing in their daughters’ education. This initiative promotes focusing on the girl child’s overall development instead of dowry expenses.
