COVID WAVE
Services during the 1st wave of COVID

Food Packets for the Migrant Labour
he Pandemic of COVID-19 has scared mankind and lockdown had affected every Indian. The helpless poor people, daily wagers, migrant labour and the homeless were most affected. Many tried to go back to their native villages but in vain. Factories were shut, transport facilities withdrawn, and these people had nothing left with them to feed their families. Shirdi Sai Baba Temple Society, Faridabad, popularly known as Sai Dham with its aim to always help the poor, decided to serve them food and immediately started coking and packing nutritious food in its kitchen, and distributed it to about 3000 migrant labour daily in association with the District Administration, Faridabad and the Red Cross. We continued this sewa of Ann Daan till the migrant labour moved to their home towns. Shri Yash Pal Yadav IAS, Deputy Commissioner Faridabad greatly appreciated Sai Dham efforts.

Face Masks
Face Masks became need of the hour during COVID. We were approached by Faridabad administration for urgently arranging three-layer washable face masks for COVID warriors and the migrant labour. Sai Dham engaged women, earlier trained at our vocational training center, to stitch 500 three-layered masks daily to be distributed amongst migrant labour, police force, cleaning staff and other COVID warriors, free of cost. This way we not only served the COVID warriors and the needy but also provided employment to these women to support them financially even during lockdown.
Infrared Thermometers
During this Pandemic, Infrared Thermometers were badly needed for contactless screening of each individual at offices, industry etc. Foreseeing the crisis, Sai Dham acted quickly and procured 2160 Infrared Thermometers which were distributed, free of cost, to the District Administration, the Police Commissionerate, Municipal Corporation, Red Cross, Resident welfare associations, Corporate, Industries and parents of the underprivileged students of Shirdi Sai Baba School.

Smart Phones
Shirdi Sai Baba Temple Society is also a temple of learning with two formal schools providing 100% free, technology-based, quality education to 2100 poor children with nutritious food, uniforms, books, study material, sports and health care. During the lockdown since the schools were shut only option was to teach them through online classes. Since these students hail from under-privileged section of the society, most of them did not have Smartphones, so to enable them to take online classes during lockdown, Sai Dham purchased 500 smart phones and distributed them to the underprivileged students of Shirdi Sai Baba School with three months prepaid SIMS.

Immunity Booster Homeopathic Medicines
Entire world was trying hard to win over this virus of COVID-19 by every possible means like finding a vaccine or using antiviral medicines but no concrete success was achieved. Dr. Motilal Gupta, founder of Sai Dham, through his experience of 60 years in homeopathy researched upon the COVID 19 and found that two medicines i.e. CAMPHOR 1M & ARSENIC ALB 30 are most effective in boosting immunity against COVID. 5000 packets of the medicines were prepared daily at Sai Dham and distributed, free of cost, amongst the masses all over India. The medicines were found very useful and were in big demand.

Services during the 2nd wave of COVID
Food Packets for COVID affected families in Faridabad
The Second wave that struck India in the month of March 2021 spread very fast and has overwhelmed the healthcare system, leaving hospitals struggling to cope with the patients while critical drugs and oxygen were in short supply. It affected every house including migrant labour and the poor. In most of the cases, nearly all the family members of a family got infected with this virus which was a changed mutant in comparison to previous wave and proved most deadly as lot of people lost their lives. Dr. Motilal Gupta, thought of the precarious conditions of the families where all were affected and no body left to cook food for the family. He immediately took up the task of cooking, packing and distributing cooked lunch and dinner to about 400-500 COVID affected families in Faridabad along with Kadha, Masks and Homeopathic medicines by four Eeco Vans. Under the able guidance of Dr. Gupta all the people engaged in this great initiative like cooks, packing volunteers, distribution staff etc executed it with full dedication. The sewa has been greatly lauded by one and all.

PPE Kits, Pulse Oximeter, Masks and Flow Meters Distribution
the second wave hit as a nightmare and to fight with this we needed some basic tools which was far away from the reach of common man. There was high demand for PPE Kits, Pulse Oximeter, Thermometers, Masks and Flow Meters. Dr. Motilal Gupta, arranged these items at wholesale prices and distributed to the needy in Faridabad and many other towns of India. Sai Dham also supported the administration to help them in setting up Isolation/Quarantine Centers in different villages of Faridabad.
Distributions of Ration & Sanitary Pads
With the help of foreign philanthropists large quantity of Ration and Sanitary Pads have been distributed not only in Faridabad but to poor people, slum dwellers and migrant labour in Bihar, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh during this 2nd wave of COVID.

Oxygen Concentrators
Dr. Gupta was deeply touched by the untimely deaths of people who were not able to get timely oxygen and everyone was rushing for it here and there. Dr. Gupta spoke to many people and it was well heard by some philanthropists around the globe who generously donated 6 Oxygen Concentrators’ of 5L and Sai Dham purchased 2 of 10L capacity. Which are available free at Saidham for everyone in need on returnable basis.
Sai Dham is known for its Humanitarian Services as a light of trust with an aim of helping the needy in every possible manner, and it will always keep this light ignited under the leadership of Dr. Motilal Gupta
