Shirdi Sai Baba Temple Society is a registered ‘Not for Profit’ organization to deliver impactful social initiatives for companies and foundations. It works towards designing and implementing holistic social development projects across multiple causes including Education, Women’s empowerment, Skill, Health and Livelihood.
Free & Quality Education
Providing, CBSE affiliated English Medium, 100% free and quality education to 1600+ poor children with food, uniforms, books, study material, sports, health care, and excursion, at Faridabad since 2004, out of which over 50% are girls. The school is as good as any public school in India.
Preschool-KG classes
Brain development happens from 3-6 years of age and unattended kids in this age-group effects overall development. We have thus setup Preschool-KG classes on performing arts under the guidance of Buildingkidz Inc USA and the children coming out of Preschool classes have a better IQ and desire to learn.
Skill Development
The institution is imparting free training to poor and rural youth in the trade of ‘Industrial Sewing Machines Operators’, ‘Tailoring cum Dress Designing’, Beauty & Wellness, ‘Computer Science’ and ‘General Duty Assistant (GDA) Patient Health Care’ ‘Photography’, ‘Mass Communication’ and ‘Journalism’ etc. with placement.
Health Care Services
The NGO is providing following health care facilities to about 1000 Poor and Needy Persons daily through its 18 dispensaries:
- Homeopathic clinics
- Eye Clinic.
- Allopathic Clinic
- Psycho Neurobic Clinic (Cure of Seven Chakras without Medicine)
- HIV-AIDS and Family Planning awareness.
- COVID 19 Vaccination and Blood Donation Camps.
Distribution of Clothes
In India 60-70% tribal and poor people do not have adequate clothes to cover their bodies. The situation is worse during winter season.
We recycle unsoiled old clothes, toys, shoes etc., and send two truck-loads per month to our associates in Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra for free distribution to tribal and poor people.
Distribution of Sanitary Napkins
The unhygienic use of old clothes during mensuration and disposal practices can have major consequences on the health of women. It can increase a women’s chances of contracting Cervical Cancer, Reproductive Tract Infections, Urinary Tract Infection Hepatitis B infection, and Various Types of Yeast Infections, to name a few.
Sanitary Napkins are being manufactured and supplied at subsidized rates to various Corporate, Rotary and Other Social Organizations for free distribution to the Rural/Poor Girls and Women for safeguarding their health.
Conversion of Kitchen waste into Organic Compose
Students are being taught to convert kitchen waste of their houses and garden waste into Organic Compose. Thus reducing accumulation of waste and converting into useful organic compose.
Making Bio-Enzyme from Fruit Peels
Teaching students to make bio enzyme from fruit peels and jaggery, which is good replacement for chemicals like phenyl and others, excellent for spraying in gardens for quick growth of trees and shrubs and works as pesticides
Mass Marriages – A Boon to Poor Families
To mitigate hardship of poor parents, Mass Marriages of about 100 girls are performed in four batches in a year, irrespective of caste, creed and without any expenditure to their parents. Till February 2022, 1095 marriages have been performed. The program is highly acclaimed by girls’ and boys’ parents.
This is being primarily done to solve difficulties, the poor people face in arranging funds for marriage of their daughters for which they often are forced to borrow few thousands on interest even at 5% per month that many a times they are unable to repay throughout their lives.
