Shirdi Sai Baba Temple Society Faridabad is providing CBSE affiliated English Medium high quality free education to 2100+ underprivileged children at Faridabad (Haryana) and Niswara, Distt. Mahoba (UP) to uplift underprivileged section of the society.
Touched by the plight of children from neighbouring clusters, loitering aimlessly around our campus, it occurred to us that these children needed an opportunity to be educated along with some incentive to motivate them to do so. We, therefore, in April 2004, established ‘Shirdi Sai Baba School’ for providing free education to these children with food, uniforms, books, study material, sports, health care and excursion. The efforts to motivate bore fruit and the number of children has since risen to more than 1500 at Faridabad 600 at Niswara Dist Mahoba – Backward Bundelkhand UP out of which over 50% are girls. The schools are as good as any public school in India. The school at Faridabad is affiliated to CBSE upto Senior Secondary level with English medium and the examination results are 100% with many meritorious students scoring above 92%.
To make education of these children compatible with the modern technology, we have set up technology based computer labs with internet, printer and LCD with coaching under the direction of NIIT for the overall development of these children.
The students are also taught dignity of labour, humility, empathy and respect for the teachers and elders. Creativity is stimulated through extracurricular activities. The curriculum prepares them for entry into higher education.
Nutritious food and regular health care have not only brought healthy glow and cheers on the faces of these children but have also brought in a great improvement in the interest that these children are now showing in their studies and in the regularity of attending the school.
Shirdi Sai Baba Temple Society has accepted the challenge to cut diamond out of coal and many passed out students have achieved greater heights setting up examples for their neighbours and the community.
