Dr Nilima Sabharwal (in yellow suit) Founder of Home of Hope Inc. USA highly appreciated free & quality education being provided with amenities to underprivileged children by Shirdi Sai Baba Schools Faridabad (HR) & Niswara (UP).
The importance of education has now been widely recognized by all. Policies and pledges though easy to make but difficult to implement and goals hard to achieve, especially in a vast and populous country such as India.
The Central and State Governments and numerous NGOs will have to work together – with strong will, wisdom and tremendous energy – to make the desire for universal good education a reality in India.
A lot has been done in regard to education and a lot more needs to be done. In my nearly four decades as a social worker, I have had privilege to interact with some philanthropists of this country and they all are of the opinion that education is the most important tool to uplift the status of poor people in India.
For a country of 130 crore people, it shows how much more ground we need to cover, to bring the benefits of education to every underprivileged children of the country, and participate in the India story.
We, at Sai Dham genuinely believe that the education:
a ) Would eradicate Child Labour
b) Would eradicate social evil of Child Marriage
c) Would uplift standard of living of Poor families
d) Would help in improving their health and hygiene
e) Would bring realization to contain families

Shirdi Sai Baba School, Faridabad (Haryana)
Touched by the plight of poor and wayward children from the clusters in the vicinity just for a dauna (small palte) Shirdi Sai Baba Temple Society started its unique free education program and in 2004 established Shirdi Sai Baba School. The school provides absolutely free and high quality education to the poor children with food, school atire, study material, excursions, sports and healthcare. The organization’s unique endeavor of providing free education to the poor children has borne fruit with the strength of students at Faridabad having gone over 1500 out of which over 50% are girls.
Means & methodology adopted in achieving the objective of motivating the kids
Initially when the school was started the absenteeism was very high and even the parents were reluctant to send their wards to school, instead expecting their wards to work and add to the family income. This hurdle was overcome by employing a novel method of motivating the parents by extending material help to the family by providing clothing, life insurance cover, medical care, facilitating marriage of their daughters and taking them on excursion tours along with the children. A Rising Hope
From just 114 students to 2000+, today we are a large family and still growing! This has become possible because of the parents’ trust and philanthropic support.
The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) up to Senior Secondary level with 100% passing result for all these years, since affiliation in 2018.Appreciating our unique endeavour to provide free and quality education, we have been awarded “MAHATMA AWARD 2021” for Quality Education and Community Service.(Being Awarded Mahatma Award 2021)
Environmental Hygiene
As an important prerogative to the well-being of the girl and a cleaner environment, we have installed incinerators in toilets for girls on each floor of the school premises.
Sailing with the world
Many meritorious students supported by the School have achieved what most of us dream of. These pass outs have set an example as eye opener to the weaker section of the society about the importance of good education.
